The Algerian drilling is a SONATRACH product since 1968, Keskassa 1 is the first drilled hole, the operational structure was called Direction des Services aux Puits ( DSP ) it means Holes services management, and was equipped with 04 drilling appliances.

 In July 1972 : DSP takes the name of DTP ( Direction des Travaux Pétroliers : Petroleum Works Direction ).

1st August 1981 : Reorganization of SONATRACH in the beginning of eighties (80’s ), came up ENTP heritage from DTP for drilling activities and work over, created by decree 81-171, ENTP became operational since & 1st January 1983.

 June 1989 : Transformation legal statue of ENTP in joint-stock company.

 1993 : ENTP became IADC (Inernational Association of Driling Contractors ) member.

 March 30, 1998 : Transfer of 51% of ENTP Registered Capital by RGT holding, in favour of Sonatrach. Its entirely released Registered Capital evolved by successive steps from 40 million DZD to 300, then to 800, then to 1.600 and finally to 2.400 million DZD in 2001.

Its shareholders were:
51%: Sonatrach/Holding/SPP Oil Services;

 January 1, 2005 : Transfer of the actions held by TRAVEN SGP,
towards newly named INDJAB SGP.

 December 28, 2005: Transfer on a purely free basis of the actions held by INDJAB SGP (49%) to "SPP Spa" Sonatrach Holding. ENTP became 100% Sonatrach.
